Every time you scroll through social media, someone’s talking about protein (and yes, protein is important but don’t forget about fiber!) and now, creatine is everywhere too.
Nicely done! I’ve recommended in a few patients with sarcopenia related to treatment mostly in recovery after treatments are completed. Would be nice to have more data available to us to guide recommendations.
So far, and as I experience, there is no health care personel that can explicitly help out and subsequently know how to treat a patient with Pc or mtPC doing endurance/resistance training in connection with Creatine. This in view of both creatine supplements or/and (creatine) carnivore diet . I would like to conect to someone in traditional medicine who knows,,,if he/she really exists!
I'm a little over a year out of TCHP & DMX, on Tamoxifen, and have been struggling with fatigue and brain fog still. Noticed in my labs that my testosterone levels are nonexistent. My oncologist is reluctant to prescribe testosterone though, and suggested I supplement creatine first. Started taking it about 2 weeks ago and am noticing a very subtle but powerful shift in explosive force. No cognitive benefits (yet) but grateful for any boost at this point!
Thank you for sharing this Dr Teplinsky. Appreciate the clear and balanced approach to information sharing, especially with regards to cancer and data pertaining to women.
Thank you! I had actually been wondering about this. I tend to err on the side of not taking supplements (my oncologist and the hospital nutritionist are ok with a few but generally aren't huge fans since it's so hard to tell if there are drug interactions with them), and this article really helped me decide it's not for me :)
